What you need is some sort of active circuit to boost and combine the composite sync from SCART with the green channel. I'm afraid the bad news is that you can't just connect SCART pins and get the RGsB (sync on Green) signal you need to run with the SDI adapters. I don't know off hand which TVs accept Component over SCART, but that's getting OT. ARCAM use it on some of their DVD players, as do a couple of other Chinese makes. They are designed for "Component over Scart" which is a bastardisation of SCART design. Where can I get a SCART breakout which has RGB as well as L & R audio on phonos? The same goes for the other direction.Ĭlosest I've seen are these but they're way too expensive.
